Junior Analyst, Portfolio Management - Copenhagen

At Heimstaden, we aim to be The Residential Real Estate specialist of the world. The Heimstaden Portfolio Management team acts as a bridge between our Investment and funding teams on one side and the Operations on the other. The team is focused on the financial and strategic aspects of operating the portfolio while driving and optimizing the business plans. More specifically the core areas of responsibility for the Heimstaden Portfolio Management Team are the following:

• Day-to-day follow-ups with our local teams in Heimstaden’ s various markets across Europe to ensure that financial targets are met, and business plans are clear and carried out e.g., assist local teams with investment analysis.
• Cooperate with Heimstaden’ s Investment team to onboard business plans post acquisition.
• Collaborate with our internal Data & Analytics team to build insightful Power BI dashboards by ensuring that data is presented and analyzed correctly.
• Assess investments and create, review and manage investment applications.

To help us achieve our targets, we are hiring a student, who is motivated and passionate about working with the financial aspects of Real Estate. You will be part of the Portfolio Management team based in Copenhagen and you will report to our Manager of Group Asset Management, Mikkel Connelly. The team consists of 4 asset management professionals and is part of the Group Asset Management department that is reporting to the Chief Asset Management & Development Officer, Paul Spina.
 

The role’s core responsibilities and tasks:

• Assist with building investment applications for internal projects – calculate expected financial returns, build presentation etc.
• Ensure sufficient data quality across our various dashboards and building in-depth knowledge of our performance across the entire European Real Estate portfolio.
• Conduct financial analysis based on larger dataset to identify and exploit full potential within the portfolio.
• Prepare material for bi-weekly executive management meeting by gathering information from our colleagues across Europe.
• Assist with recurring reporting.
• Ad hoc tasks based on internal requests from our Capital Raising team, Investment team, M&A and Strategy team etc.

Candidate competence profile:

• You are enrolled in a Danish university and pursuing a degree within Finance or Economics and are close to completing your bachelor or just started at your masters.
• Personal interest in Real Estate – experience is not a requirement.
• Proactive, mature, and willing to take ownership.
• Speak, write, and read English at business level.

You can work a minimum of two days a week, and your work schedule will be flexible, 15-20 hours weekly, taking exams into consideration.
